Program Overview

SN2008 – The Next Frontier will emphasise the latest developments in translational research on the sentinel node including metastatic mechanisms, immune modulation, lymphangiogenesis and targeted therapies of the SLN as well as the expanding application of SLN biopsy in cancer. A feature of the meeting will be a series of panel discussions to develop consensus statements on major issues related to SLN biopsy. A wide range of international experts have been invited to discuss these issues.

Presentations will be given on SLN biopsy for breast cancer, melanoma, GIT cancer, gynecological cancer, urological cancer, lung cancer and head and neck cancer.

Satellite Meeting – The Australian and New Zealand Guidelines for the Management of Melanoma and Melanoma in Special Sites

Australian Cancer Network to be held at Stamford Sydney Airport, O'Riordan St (Cnr Robey St) Mascot on 21st February 2008. Separate registration required (A$110; student/trainee A$70). At this one day meeting the evidence on which the proposed new guidelines are based will be reviewed. Discounted registration will be offered to those who register in advance for the ISNS 2008 meeting by 1 January 2008 (A$70; student/trainee A$40).
